Rick Astley, whose popular 1987 hit “Never Gonna Give You Up” has spawned a generation of Internet meme-age, has recorded a video for his first single in 17 years, “Lights Out.” Now, since the whole point of being Rickrolled is being tricked into watching “Never Gonna Give You Up,” pretending Rick Astley had a new song would be a perfect prank. But we are not children. We promise, “Lights Out” is a real song. Discussion after the video.

In my lil head… I remember when I was dating this guy he would always tell me how emotional I was…He always told me I thought to much…For the longest time, I honestly thought something was really wrong with me. From then on I was self-obsessed about not being “emotional” and “thinking too much.” As hard as I would try, to just brush things off, or not have any type of feelings…I couldn’t, just isn’t in my nature. I’ve always thought way too much…felt deeply about things most wouldn’t even care about. Maybe this is a flaw in my genetic code…who fucking knows. Thinking and feeling too much can def. be something negative…but at the same time…maybe it’s a gift. I get so confused… No one ever explained to me that it was OKAY to be this way…I’ve always been told it was wrong…something must really be wrong with you. I never really understood words, sentences or language very well…I can’t really explain it, but when people talk to me the sounds translates into images….I think I told a friend once and she looked at me as if I was crazy…probably am just a lil…=) As self-obsessed as I am… I tend to think about a lot of random things…ie…time, perception, social constructs, color, shapes, symbols,…blah blah blah… OK….I think I’m back to reality…haha…kinda got stuck in my thoughts again. xoxoxokatt

You aren’t that hot, GET OVER YOURSELF!

I was talking to one of my guy friends the other day , he said that every girl thinks that they are hot, even girls who are average or below average. He was hanging out with a girl he thought was just ok and she kept saying “I know I’m hot, I know im good looking” and all the while he was thinking that she was so full of herself. I see this a lot, a lot of people think they are so hot (and some of them are) but their egos are so big that it just makes them unattractive to everyone else. If they aren’t actually hot, and think that they are, their egos just make them look stupid.

Personally I think beauty is overrated. I love a good looking guy as much as anyone else, but pretty people often don’t have much to say (since they didn’t have the need to develop a personality like less beautiful people did) and a pretty face doesn’t last too long if you cant hold a conversation with them! I prefer a guy with a good sense of humor and something to say over a pretty face any day, although it would be great if he had good looks too! I personally don’t think someone should get praised just because they look good, they didn’t have to work for it, they didn’t have to earn it!!  I personally respect hard work much more.

I’ve heard a study somewhere say that cute girls have better self esteem than beautiful girls, that beautiful girls are extremely  insecure. I seem to agree, I do get around a lot of pretty girls and I have to admit, a lot of them have much less substance than some of the other girls ive gotton to know. Beautiful girls are so constantly praised on their looks, it’s the one thing that they know that they can depend on, that they hang onto it for dear life, and are constantly comparing themselves to other girls and thinking that they are superior.

 I wasn’t born with the amazing beauty of some of these girls, but I don’t really think it matters, and this goes for you too!!  Beauty fades (much quicker than you think!) and I think that hard work and a good heart will take you much farther and bring you much more happiness than only having good looks to offer

 I bring this up because I used to be love to surround myself with pretty girls When I sit back and I observe some of these girls, they talk a lot of shit! One basic thing about happiness is that people who are truly happy don’t have generally have a surplus of negative things to say. Yah I talked a whole lot of shit when I was younger, sometimes I get caught up in talking some shit even now, it’s a bad habit, its addictive, and I’m catching myself and trying to make myself stop! … honestly it is just fun to gossip sometimes…but these days I try to be the one listening more than talking…and maybe one day I wont even bother to listen to it any more, hopefully!

 Its fun to have a group of pretty girls to party with (and I know the guys love it too) but I’m finding that these days its more important to have someone who has more talk about than just boys, hair and makeup and shopping. Seriously the preoccupation with boys is ridiculous, there are more important things in life than trying to play the field and see how many guys you can make fall in love with you.

Michael Bay Offers $50,000 Bounty for Puppy-Throwing Girl

The other day, we came across a video of a Bosnian girl throwing a litter of puppies into the river. We decided it was far too graphic and disturbing to put up (seriously, it will make you cry and want to cuddle your co-worker, so maybe you don’t want to watch it), but now there’s been a bizarre turn of events. Director Michael Bay is offering a $50,000 bounty for anyone with information leading to the whereabouts of the girl.

A new video has gone up, supposedly from the girl whose name the creator claims is Katja Puschnik, apologizing for her behavior and offering the excuse that the puppies were ill. But Bay still wants to see her tracked down and prosecuted for her crime.

Michael Bay is a notorious jerk when it comes to humans — Megan Fox was booted from the Transformers franchise after she compared Michael to Hitler and called him “a nightmare to work with” — so it’s good to see he has a soft side.

(Also, by the way, the above photo is from MichaelBay.com, which used to be the most amazing site ever, with dozens and dozens of Michael Bay hi-res photos each more ridiculous than the last, but it’s recently been edited down. Which might be the bigger tragedy mentioned in this this post.)

Seth Galifianakis is comedian Zach Galifianakis‘ twin brother (not really. Pro-tip: This is what Zach looks like when he shaves!) and yesterday he took over Zach’s faux-interview program Between Two Ferns to talk to Sean Penn. With all these fake brothers and mock-interviews running around, you would think that Sean would be more of a sport, but he genuinely looks disgruntled. Can’t tell if that’s supposed to be the shtick, if Sean’s actually clueless enough to believe he’s on a real segment, or if Mr. Milk is terrible at “playing along.”

Between the Lines: Jodie Sweetin Talks About Her New Baby

Yesterday we reported that Jodie Sweetin has given birth to a second child, little Beatrix Carlin Sweetin Coyle, and today we have an update straight from the woman herself. After a several-day Twitter absence, Jodie returned to the keyboard last night to discuss her new baby:

The ex-Full House star seems to be doing well after a checkered past. Jodie notoriously suffered from substance abuse issues, something she came clean about in her memoir, UnSweetined. In 2008, ex-husband Cody Herpin took Jodie to court in a battle retain full-custody of their daughter. He accused Sweetin of driving drunk with the infant in the car. The two currently share custody of the child, whom Jodie has said is eager to meet little sis Beatrix.

The new “great man” Jodie mentioned is her boyfriend DJ Morty Coyle, turntablist to the stars. Morty, 41, became a first-time dad on Tuesday. The musician seems ready to rise to the task, Tweeting about Jodie on Wednesday:
