I always make it a point to read every word he posts there, not only because I am a Rush fan, but also because he is such an interesting writer and he often writes about things that are totally unrelated to music that I find interesting. Although I don’t share Peart’s enthusiasm for the winter season, I do sometimes appreciate the beauty of a winter day here in New Hampshire where I live. With my usual imperfect timing I arrived at the restaurant in Shepherds Bush just as Jon was leaving. Another privilege of having the right pass is that you get to ‘do battle’ in the photographers pit in front of the crowd barriers. There was a part in the set where Martin and Stu sit alone on some stools in the middle of the stage. There has been a gaping hole in my experience of live Christian music up till now. Tem havido um buraco escancarado na minha experiência de viver música cristã até agora. Jon was particularly keen for me to take photographic evidence of the provisions that had been laid out for the band. Their concern for my hearing was touching but it occurred to me that standing in front of a band with yellow and pink blobs of foam stuck in your ears was about as big an insult as you can pay any band. I spent the first half of the show still stood by the monitors desk, getting a good view of the stage and Arena. So the UK leg of The Mission Bell Tour has now come to an end, and the band head out to mainland Europe to continue the tour. I took the above photo in the band’s dressing room, about 2 minutes before they went on stage for the very first night of the tour in Southampton. They’d just got changed into the suits and wanted a photo taken for their scrap books, so Martin handed me his camera and asked me if I could take a photo of them. Delirious .org.uk is being a little neglected at the moment and I thought I should probably explain why. Delírio. Ah yes, the Delirious .org.uk blog. Ah sim, o Delirious. Org.uk blog. I knew there was something I’d been forgetting. Eu sabia que havia algo que tinha sido esquecimento. It’s been gathering dust since I posted about the Christmas Show back in December. É o estado a ganhar pó desde que eu postou sobre o Natal Show de volta em dezembro. Lately I’ve only been posting on the blog after going to a concert, and since there haven’t been any UK gigs since Christmas… well, you get the picture.
